Today we honour the youth who changed the course of South African history. 🕊️

Youth Day. 16 June 2026.

On this day in 1976, the young people of Soweto stood up against a system that sought to limit their potential. They paid an unimaginable price. And in doing so they ignited a movement that helped shape the free South Africa we live in today.

Their courage was not just a moment in history. It is a reminder that the youth have always been at the centre of change.

At Cargo Medi Distributors we believe in investing in the next generation. Through our EduKid initiative we have visited schools in the villages, donated resources, and shown young learners that they are seen, they are valued, and their future matters.

Because the best way to honour June 16 is to keep showing up for the young people who carry South Africa’s future forward.
